Should high school do more to prepare for your career?

Virginia Bates

Although future careers are important most high schoolers don’t know what they want to do when they get older. Instead, High school should prepare students more for adulthood. Most adults wished they taught stuff around maturity. They should tell students how to do taxes, balance a checkbook, and manage credit. They should also teach that trade school is just as important as careers you go to college for. It can seem overwhelming trying to choose a career before you complete high school so I feel like high school shouldn’t put that pressure on students.
