Maryland enters "Stage One" of reopening.
May 20, 2020
On Wednesday, May 13, 2020 Govenor Larry Hogan decided that on Friday, May 15, 2020 Maryland should start to ease into phase one with the exception of Prince Georges County and Montgomery County. This exception was put into place because of the number of people being hospitalized and the amount of deaths in these two counties. These are also the two counties that hold the most cases in Maryland with Prince Georges County having 12,240 confirmed cases since last week. Stage one of the reopening of Maryland includes manufacturing, retail, haircuts and worship services to resume. However, social distancing, use of masks and hand sanitizer is still encouraged.
