Our Girls and Boys Varsity basketball teams were both victorious as they defeated their opponents and advance to the county championship division game. The Girls’ defeated the Suitland Rams, 79 to 37, and the boys defeated The Bowie Bulldogs, 77 to 61.
The boys played outstanding last night with Devin Shuler scoring 26 pts, Clint Robinson grabbing 18 rebounds and scoring 14 pts, and Juan Weldon scoring 16 points. The team was clicking on all cylinders which allowed them to get the win. The Boys’ will now take on The Wise Pumas at Wise High School today starting at 7pm. The cost is 5 dollars so make sure your there to support.
In addition, the girls played awesome as they beat the Suitland Rams. De’Janae Boykins led the way with 24pts and 17 rebounds, Diamond Douglas had 17 pts 5 rebounds, and Sierra Eggleston had 13 points 3 rebounds. The girls will advance and their next opponent is TBD.
