How To Add Volume To Your Hair

May 5, 2014
Having flat and lifeless hair can get boring when it’s your everyday look. Getting body and volume can be difficult when your hair just won’t cooperate. There are a few ways to get that lift from your roots that will have your hair lifted and flowing with body.
When using your flat iron make sure you don’t go straight from the root to your ends. Start from your roots then start to curl the flat iron upwards to get that lift. You don’t have to continue to curl the hair once you’re moving towards your ends. If you want you can make spiral curls by holding the flat iron vertically then twisting it into a spiral motion. This will create extra volume to your hair if desired.
You can also use flexi rods to curl your straight hair. Flexi rods come in many different sizes so you may choose the one that works for you. Wrap your sectioned hair around the rods and leave them in overnight. You may need to use some type of spritz hair spray for a better hold. Unravel them in the morning and you should get a full head of curls that you wanted.
