Scholastic Olympics Awards

Students from Charles Herbert Flowers High School racked up six awards, including first place in spelling, to dominate the 4th Annual Scholastic Olympics at the Prince George’s Plaza Community Center Saturday.
In each subject, first place winners took home $500, second place $300 and third place $200. The Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission sponsored the first place history prize. The Washington Nationals donated a pair of tickets for each prize winner. Carrollton Insurance Agency, Inc. sponsored plaques for each winner, while gold, silver and bronze medals were donated by a 5 a.m. Bible Study Ministry member.
