What To Do If You Test Positive For Covid?

Makachi Ngobili, Managing/ Copy Editor

During this time it is very important for everyone to stay safe, and to take every step, as a community, to be as safe as possible. We need to keep a clean environment in order to lower the risk of increasing Covid-19 cases. Washing your hands is very essential in the journey to take down this deadly virus. People frequently touch their eyes, nose, and mouth without realizing it. Germs can get into the body through the eyes, nose, and mouth and make us sick. Germs from unwashed hands can get into foods and drinks while they are prepared and consumed. Germs can multiply in some foods or drinks, under certain conditions, and make people sick.

If you feel as if you may be sick, STAY HOME. Even if you are sure it isn’t Covid, it’s better to be safe than sorry. If you are sure that you have Covid, here are some ways to keep others along with yourself safe.

  • Take care of yourself. Get rest and stay hydrated. Take over-the-counter medicines, such as acetaminophen, to help you feel better.
  • Stay in touch with your doctor. Call before you get medical care. Be sure to get care if you have trouble breathing, or have any other emergency warning signs.
  • Avoid public transportation, ride-sharing, or taxis.
