Are Cellphones Ruining Our Social Skills ?

Are we accidentally ruining our chances of making friends and becoming more social human beings?  The picture above shows a group of kids all on their phones and showing no signs of interactions between each other.  It is a known fact that 50% of teens are addicted to mobile devices.  I believe our cell phones stop us from making friends and create more social anxiety.  If you constantly live inside or on your phone and never try and talk to people or pass opportunities to make friends then you will never learn social skills which could help prepare you for the real world.
