Flowers Introduces a Resident Principal

Mrs. Vernetta Christian, a resident principal was born in Newark, New Jersey. She is the proud mother to 3 handsome boys, ages 12, 9, and 6. She is happily married to her husband of 13 years. Her and her husband are proud educators who understand and value the importance of education.

She became a resident principal because she wanted to have a positive impact on student achievement as a school leader in Prince Georges County. She’s been in education for 12 years but this is her 1st year as a resident principal. She was the Special Education Department Chair at Parkdale High school. Mrs. Christian attended Hampton University, University of Maryland School of Law, and Prince Georges Community College.

She is motivated by knowing that she is creating opportunities for young people and she wants to make sure that young people receive the same opportunities she had. She is interested in education, learning, and making sure children receive an education. ” I Love, Love, Love CHFHS, she said”
