16 Year Old Caleb Smith Earns Private Flight License

Caleb Smith, 16 year old AFJROTC student made his aviation dreams come true after passing his written exam with the Federal Aviation Administration.

He earned his first solo flight after 33 flights, and has completed 13 solo flights. The FAA has recognized him as the youngest private glider pilot in the United States!

He is a sophomore here Charles Herbert Flowers High School and is a inspiration to all us here at the Mecca of Excellence.
