DIY: Tie-Dye Nails

Spring has arrived and you want your nails to represent your popping personality! Tie-dye nails are a
quick, cute and chic new look you may want to venture.
Once you have gathered these items you will be ready to begin:
 shallow container of water
 scotch tape
 paper towel
 toothpicks
 needle
 nail polish
– one color for a base coat
– at least two more for the designs
– clear coat of polish
First, paint your nails a base coat, preferably a vibrant color so the other colors will pop! Next, use the
scotch tape to seclude your fingernail. Put it on the skin all around your nail, so that when you put the
design on your nail, the paint does not spread to the rest of your finger. Then you should choose
another color and let the paint drip from the brush into the container of water (the polish should
disperse once it’s in the water). Take your second color and repeat this step. Keep doing this, alternating
colors just a few times. The more colors you use the more you can alternate! Lastly, use the needle to
draw some lines in the colors. This will make everything swirl and twist, and be wonderful!
