Initiative :)

According to Google, initiative is the ability to assess and initiate things independently. In my words, it is the power or opportunity to act or take charge before others do. To take initiative is to seek out more responsibilities, to solve problems, step in when someone is unavailable, training, explaining things to others, volunteering with organizations, supporting others in various areas, and so much more! You cannot wait for others to do something before you, because then you will be a follower instead of a leader. Take action! If you want something a certain, way and others cannot satisfy those requirements, you take initiative and do it yourself. Orlando Aloysus Battista once said, “Initiative is to success what a lighted match is to a candle.” You can’t light a candle without a match, but a match is useless if it isn’t lit. Your success is not given to you by other people, it’s something you strive for YOURSELF! Just like an unlit match, you are useless if you have the guidance to be successful, but do nothing with it.
