Since January 2021, the American Literacy Corporation and the African American Memorial Fund have been hosting You Write! Essay Contest monthly to engage young people in creative, persuasive, and informational writing. We are so excited for January’s prompt!
The theme for January is, “Three things I’m looking forward to in 2022 are…”
This is a great opportunity for your students to enhance their writing skills and even win a prize!
Attached is the flier, which contains additional information regarding the contest. The essays are due by January 31st by 5 p. m. Also, the essays should include the title, name, and grade of the participant. Please share the flier with your students, teachers, and community.
