The Germans have quiet hours regulated by law, between 1pm – 3pm and between 10 pm and 7am the following morning. Loud music, drilling or vacuuming on sunday s during quiet hours can set of a row of complaints neighbours and a visit by public order officers  .

So when next you are in Germany remember to respect the quiet hours and not get in trouble with the public order officers
