Prior to Covid-19, there was no such thing as the ability to take off of school for a “mental health day.”  Though mental health has always been a very real and existent thing, however the pandemic has brought more awareness to the influence of mental health on an individual.  According to Andrea Hussong, a professor and associate director of clinical psychology in the department of psychology and neuroscience, ” As the pandemic has worn on, however, youth show more consistent elevations in anxiety, depression, and stress.”  She also states that “This fall, more teens returned to school more emotionally vulnerable.”  Is this why PGCPS proposed a bill allowing a mental health day for
