GB Youth Media is a non-profit organization that creates communities where young people build the confidence and media skills to express themselves and to promote community building, multicultural understanding, and the common good. Visit www.youthmediamd.org for more info.
Working at GBYM this summer, apprentices will advance their media arts skills and create designs and short films that focus on social justice. GBYM staff and volunteers will be hosting the apprentices at GBYM’s media arts studio at 900 Wayne Ave, Silver Spring. Teaching artists providing enrichment and guidance will be scheduled throughout the 5-week program.
Deadline to submit your application in full is April 1, 2022
Program Duration: July 11-August 11, 2022
Apprentices receive a pay of $15.00 per hour that is subject to all applicable taxes.

$15 dollars an hour is real money for someone our age, this sounds like such a great opportunity even though I don’t want a media career, its tempting!

$15 hourly is pretty good money!!! Especially when the minimum wage in MD is only $12.50, and especially when this job is for minors. It would be a great learning experience & silver spring is a place I’ve been wanting to visit for a long time.
