Daughters Of Nri by Reni K. Amayo

“A gruesome war results in the old gods’ departure from earth. The only remnants of their existence lie in two girls. Twins, separated at birth. Goddesses who grow up believing that they are human. Daughters Of Nri explores their epic journey of self-discovery as they embark on a path back to one another.”

This is the first fantasy book I have read in awhile, and I enjoyed it. The book takes place in the city of Nri, which is now modern day Nigeria. It follows twins Naala and Sanai, who were separated at birth and the adventure they embark on to free the city of Nri and the bordering villages from the cruel rule of the Eze. I recommend this read to all my fellow fantasy genre lovers.
