Would you take your mask off at school?

March 16, 2022
Next year, if we are presented with the opportunity to stop wearing mask, would you?
I personally wouldn’t take of my mask because it just doesn’t make sense to me especially since COVID is still around along with new variants. I feel like taking off our masks literally has no benefit to it. Three years of progression and adaptation that could be ruined very quickly if everyone starts taking off their mask. I think that the amount of time that’s passed is starting to make people feel like COVID might have run out or something. Soon enough people are probably going to suggest that we stop wearing masks and I think that enough people, or maybe too many people will agree. We’d be around way too many people for 8 hours for taking off our masks to be considered a good idea. It feels like everyone is trying to rush back into some state of normalcy without seriously considering the consequences. People at this school have gone to the hospital due to contracting COVID. COVID is still out there and prematurely stopping precautions against COVID will make it so much worse.

I agree, but I feel like it should be your option to wear your mask or not. Personally, I would still wear my mask to stay on the safe side but, COVID cases has gone down so it shouldn’t be a requirement to wear a mask.

I agree, if given the opportunity I will still wear my mask although I believe in some cases we should have a break between class time to take our mask off I understand why people are tired of wearing mask all day.

Covid cases should be at a really really low number of about 100 or below before people should consider not using masks. High numbers could still result in alot of cases

I’ll still have my mask on, covid cases aren’t at 0.

I´ll take my mask off during lunch.

I believe that a no-mask policy would cause an increase in Covid cases. The pandemic is not over, we still need to take safety precautions. Masks are included in this.

I will only take of my mask if necessary.

I definitely won’t take off my mask until these cases go down. Just because it’s been a long time doesn’t mean that this pandemic is over.

I think that this is just going to cause another spike and then another shutdown.

I agree.

I feel like because mandate have been lifted in certain parts people are forgetting that we are still in a pandemic. There are still cases popping up each and every day, they just aren’t broadcasted as much anymore. I feel like if PG county lifts the mask mandate this year or next year, people should still wear their mask.

I think mask should be optional.

I personally would not take my mask off, COVID is still here !

COVID isn’t going anywhere, we are tired of it but new strains of it keep coming!

I agree, we still need to take safety precautions for this virus. COVID is real and it seems like people forget the seriousness of this virus.

I believe it should be left up to each person if they want to wear their mask but me personally I wouldn’t take mine off.
