OPINION: GOING BACK TO WATER FOUNTAINS
No More Water Bottles?
March 21, 2022
So far, throughout the duration of our school year, there have been water bottle cases in just about every classroom. However, those water bottles are no longer being provided. Apparently, the school is planning to turn the water fountains back on so they’ve stopped giving out water bottles. They also may be turning the water fountains back on because there has been too much waste and trash produced from the water bottles; leaving opened water bottles behind, not throwing them away, etc. I understand that that is an issue but I honestly liked having access to water without having to leave the classroom and individual water bottles are definitely more sanitary. If they do turn the water fountains back on I definitely don’t think I’d be interested.

Water fountains are definitely better for the environment, but maintaining the quality and availability of water fountains is not something I trust the school to do.

Turning the water fountains back on after all these years seems very unsafe.

Turning the water fountains back on would be a huge mistake, it’s too much contamination. I would not even drink from the water fountains before COVID-19

As water bottles seem better for personal use and all around use, I would also agree that water fountains shouldn’t really be on because it’s still not that sanitary and safe for people right now.

I don’t know, but many people do leave water bottles all over the place. It’s a waste of water when people just leave their water bottles half opened.

I think we should just stay with the personal water bottles. Yes I do agree with the students needing to clean up behind themselves but, individual water bottles are more sanitary and safe.

I think continuing to distribute the water bottles is the only smart choice at the moment. Turning the water fountain back on would cause there to be a Covid mishap of some sort.

I feel like we should just keep getting water bottles.

Using a water fountain during Covid is not a very smart move. That´s spreading germs. Bottled water is more sanitary, and tastes better as well lol.

I think we should not go back to water fountains, it’s very unsanitary.

We’re still going through Covid? I don´t understand why they are opening back water fountains. And if they do, I recommend ya´ll to bring your own water bottles from home.
