Banned from the Gym?
Gym restrictions

May 10, 2022
Due to several fights in the gym, students are no longer allowed in the gym during lunch. Students are required to remain in the cafeteria. Does this really help the situation? It’s confusing how the staff were very strict on the amount of people allowed in the cafeteria at the start of the year, to now having everybody in there. Is this really a punishment or is it just making the chance of attracting covid higher? What do you think about it; do you agree with the route that was going? What do you think is a better solution?

I really do believe this is just a chance of cases going back up and potentially having a repeat of last year.

I didn’t know we were in the cafeteria because of fights. But I don’t think this was a smart decision, it’s just causing covid to rise. The cafeteria is smaller than the gym. Even if we stay in the cafeteria fights can still happen. Fights can happen anywhere in the school building.

I don’t think that this was a smart decision. They should’ve just put more security in the gym. Forcing everyone into one room is an easier way for fights to start and it’s unsafe, especially considering that covid is spreading again.

Ooh, then this is why people were still in the lunch room until they actually dismissed them for their classes.

This was well written. I think people being crammed into the lunch room will only cause more fights. -Grace Ajayi
