Why candy is on recall?
Are you consuming metal!?

May 19, 2022
Recently, a variety of candies such as Skittles, Starburst, and Life Savers gummies were recalled due to metal strands being found on the candy or loose inside the bag. To date, there hasn’t yet been any reports of illness or injury from eating the recalled candy. The companies themselves are advising that anyone who has the recalled candy to throw it away and not consume it.
If you have any questions contact Mars Wrigley Confectionery US at 800-651-2564
How do you feel about some of our favorite candy being recalled? And how do you think the metal strands appeared in the bags?

I stopped eating those a long time because they started to taste weird and every time I did it made my teeth hurt.

Be careful when you open a bag of candy or any kind of food, check for any little things that you can’t consume. Many had found insects and other things that aren´t supposed to be there .

I personally don’t like sweets but as for my little sister she loves them so I will occasionally buy them for her. I will have to reconsider the type of candy i buy for her. At such a young age consuming that much metal is not good for her i will have to look into more healthier alternative.

What would be valid reasoning for metal found inside candy bags? It doesn’t make sense, but I’m glad the defect was found before it had any extreme impact on consumers.
