Friday Night Lights: CHF Vs. Paint Branch
November 28, 2022
Friday, November 18th, our Jaguars took on Paint Branch in the Maryland 4A state quarter-finals. Quarterback, Sean Johnson started the game off with a 7-yard run, scoring the first touchdown of the game for our Jaguars. Scoring 2 touchdowns in the first half and 2 touchdowns in the second half, Flowers took the win with the final score being 28-6. Tight End, Johnathan Taylor Jr. (#80) says the game plan going into this game “was really playing the flowers way. Coming off an ugly win last week, we came into the game knowing we had to tighten a few things up. We ran the ball well and our defense played lights out. That’s all our coaches expect from us”. Taylor also stated that in order to win this upcoming game against Wise “we really just need to be playing how we’ve been playing all year. Shout out defense and a downhill run game….The flowers way. We know Wise is going to come and play the hardest they’ve played all year, so we know there’s little to no margin of error. With that being said, my teammates and I have no doubt our coaches will prepare us and put us in the best position to win this game”.
Come out and support our Jaguars as they compete against Dr. Henry A. Wise High School in the Maryland 4A state semi-finals. The game will be held on Saturday, November 26th at 1pm at the Charles Herbert Flowers Stadium. Tickets are on sale for $8.00 via GoFan.
