That Day
October 27, 2016
That day, almost a vivid memory
The earths moved out of my watch
I was clumsy, I was slow
That day was the day my moves were careen
The oceans were locked
I couldn’t flow
I dropped my paintbrush of tongue
The world has stopped its spin
Woe is me I say
I remember the snap of that gum
Was this a consequence of my sins
Woe was me that day
Crash and burn
Made all left turns
Don’t show me pity
Don’t call me greedy
I wanted to wail but I can’t sing
I wither against what winter brings
That day will be the last
I declare to the winds
But then it came back
so I picked up my pen
