Please Don't Leave Me
January 31, 2017
And yet again we meet again somehow.
Your peevish eyes feel like bullets of ice.
That piercing gaze full of memories now.
With your heart the size of a grain of rice.
Chilly winter spent in your embrace.
Formal dates with a wild animal.
However that is no longer the case.
Now I can relax with fresh animals.
I don’t know why I want to stay with you.
Get off your lazy bum and tell me why.
Is there anything for us to cling to?
I don’t need you; why can’t I let this die?
I want our affogato love to end
But my resilient feelings won’t bend
