Little Rock, Fort Smith, and Searcy Lead the State at 105 Degrees
Little Rock, Fort Smith, and Searcy are each forecast to reach 105 degrees Sunday, marking the top end of the statewide heat. Batesville and Stuttgart follow closely behind at 105 degrees as well, keeping the hottest readings concentrated across the central and northern parts of the state.
Jonesboro and Clinton are expected to reach 104 degrees, while Fayetteville, Harrison, Mountain Home, De Queen, and Camden are forecast to hit 101 degrees as the heat spreads across nearly every region.
Triple-Digit Heat Expected Nearly Statewide Through the Afternoon
Beyond the hottest pockets, triple-digit heat is forecast almost everywhere Sunday. Texarkana and El Dorado are expected to reach 102 degrees, while Monticello and Pine Bluff follow at 102 and 103 degrees respectively.
Even the cooler spots are not seeing much relief, with Mena forecast at 98 degrees and Wynne at 100 degrees, both still well above seasonal norms for mid-August.
